Had 40c here yesterday, went down the beach about 7.30pm and wet my feet.

Hi Andrew trip went ok the weather was kind to us hardly any snow motorway was clear took us just under 6hrs round trip near enough 300 miles glad to get home

Roads here are fine. We probably only got an inch of snow total this year and there is virtually nothing on the ground right now. That may change Thursday, but I hope not!

Well... we seem to get one stinker per week at present. Today... Hot Sunny 36deg C. expecting strong winds inland. The Fireys are very nervous. Everything is so dry !! Still a few out of control fires in the mountain areas.

Worst... This is only Jan... Feb is our 'hot' month... It's shapping up to be a bad one in Victoria and maybe New South Wales.

Up northern Queensland. a big 'low' has brought heaps of rain to the 'banana benders' around the Cairns area.

Our CEO just sent out his weekly message ...

The Geelong Region has had NO RAIN for a whole month !! Plus we've had around 6 days of over 35degC instead of the usual 1day. This doesn't go well for Feb.

The cool change came through this morning. Before that it was around 30degC. Expecting low 20's and cloudy over the weekend... typical.

We might have to spare a thought for Andrew up in Northern New South Wales. A huge amount of rain 500mm in places falling in Queensland. Lots of flooding. Storms lashing the Gold Coast just down from Brisbane. Unfortunately it's head down the coast into New South Wales. Not as bad as 2011 but it's on the way. 200,000 properties are without electricity (in QLD). Typical stuff... us in Victoria get the bushfires, they get rain and floods.

Been raining for 24hrs so far, not heavy rain just constant drizzel with occasional heavy showers. suposed to be getting some strong winds from up north today, working their way down south.

Not heard much about the bush fires so hopefully the rain has put most of them out. no flooding where I am.

Heard this morning that ALL roads between New South Wales and Queensland have been cut due to the floods... wow! Don't think that's happened before.

Still quite dry down here. Temps are around 20deg C expecting the odd few showers this week, but not much else.

Well... 19degC expected top today with clearing showers. Another cool weekend on the way. Tuesday - Wednesday next week to be around the mid 30's C. Crazy Crazy weather...

None around me, mainly further north, the floods are starting to receed then the full damage can be assesed.
