Re: New Movies
Watched
'How to be single' a couple of nights ago with the girls.
Definitely worth a watch. Got Aussie actor Rebel Wilson...
Normally I'd say... not my style .. but glad I watched .
Chick flick/RomCom with some funny bits ! 6/10

Re: New Movies
Well...
Watched Now You See Me 2 on Sunday night at 9:30pm ... Monday was a Public Holiday ... that's why...
Steph and I loved it. If there was any let down... we wanted more magic' scenes ... There was good fight and action scenes, and the the magic was good... more would've been better. A good few twists & turns.
Heard they making a third one... Good. I'll go to see it... providing the same actors are in it.
Pay this one..... 7/10 ... worth a look see.
Em & Zo watched 'The Conjuring 2' at the same time.
Just asked Zoe ... They gave it 9/10 !!
One hell of a scary movie...
I think Emily at times was pulling her knees to her chest .
These girls aren't easily scared.
Not my cup of tea... but if you're into that genre... go for it.

Re: New Movies
Watched . London Has Fallen. over the weekend.
It was.. something I couldn't get into... Overlong car /motorbike chases... lots of bullets.. a lot of bullets ....quite DieHard-ish only nowhere near as good.
If you want heaps of action ... no suspense... it might do the job.
Just my opinion guys. Olympus Has Fallen was better.
4.5...maybe 5/10... Wouldn't pay to see it.

Re: New Movies
Took the kids to see the new Ghostbusters (female cast). They paid homage to the original cast in the movie, but with cameo's. My teens enjoyed it... me? Not so much. Yes, it had some funny moments, but ehhh... 5/10... Wait for rental.

Re: New Movies
Went to see Star Trek Beyond last night and actually had low expectations for it. Was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It was indeed a gem of a movie to the modern series. An easy 7+/10

Enjoyed it but mmmmm .... yeah 6/10
We watched the original the night before... so the girls understood certain cameos and scenes in the new one.

Re: New Movies
8/10 not their best effort, but a good movie.
Wonder how many more Enterprises get blown up???
They have to fix their Shields, it's the only way.
Get some decent ones that don't fail after 1 hit.

Re: New Movies
Andrew...
I must admit I haven't watched the movie yet... That was my daughters view....
Did go to the flicks yesterday morning with my girls to watch Star Trek.
Loved it ! Very energetic movie ... We walked out with big smiles
Yep. 8/10 ....IMO
Saw the trailer for Suicide Squad... Looks good but... might be one for the younger brigade.
I plan on going to see the Bourne movie later this week with Em.

Re: New Movies
The secret Life of Pets
animation: Very funny little movie this one ... Rabbit was a bit overdone... but still a good movie.
7/10 (I'd watch this again before the X-Men movie)

Went out with my youngest tonight while mom and the oldest were out shopping...
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Knew nothing of it going in other than my 13 yr old wanted to see it. Left it pleasantly surprised. 7/10.
