Vintage Stereos Empty Vintage Stereos

Well .... maybe not vintage....
70's & 80's....
Been getting nostalgic over the past few few weeks.... slowly putting together my old component stereo gear.
Once I got the JVC tape deck from the garage sale I've been working out how and where to position them in the cabinet.... it's been a while ... and luckily I kept a portion of my cassettes.
Managed to grab a Graphic Equalizer.... So a nice little combo of brands... None of the high end stuff... but glad I decided against throwing them out a few years ago.
Technics,
JVC
Sansui
Akai

Speakers.... I'll have to use the ones from my Sony Midi HiFi... At least there's a bit of bass in them.
Kept my Sennheiser HD 410 SL headphones which are 20 years old.... must be good as I can still buy the foam pads for them.

Hope to send a pic when all clean an working ...

Any else in the same boat ????

Got my kid a vinyl player for Xmas, getting the feeling, but not too much motivation to get back into it. A lot of my vinyl is still in ok shape, a lot got damaged in a basement flood. On occassion, I will clean one up best I can and give it a spin. Found some gems and some not piles of cr@p!!! Amazes me what I have... I wonder what possessed me to buy it!

Trust me, I can't afford the $$ to go too berserk like I see people on Youtube etc...
Had some magnificent Speakers back in the 80's/90's... Big twin Woofer 3-way's  KSW was the brand. They sat over a yard tall..... big heavy buggers too..... Awesome sound...even at low volume, then no distortion at high vol.... Using cheapies now...
Hey, I bought a heap of crappy albums just to get one... maybe 2 songs on each ... Artists were never heard of again ! Wasted a lot of money...
I suppose ... once one of the components dies... that'll be it... until another one comes along...

Bit too much for me....
As long a decent sound comes through the speakers... I'm happy.
My ears can't pick up good sound like they used too....
Always loved playing with this stuff.
Will probably remove the graphic equalizer.... Not happy with it...
