AFL rounds 9, 10, 11
Fremantle remain on top of the ladder after 11 rounds... damn their hides!!
And Andrew must be happy with his overpriced imports !!! The Sydney Swans are hitting their straps and are played good footy
New team Greater Western Sydney Giants will play finals this year unless they have a massive form slump.
Tracy,
Our Geelong Cats are playing better footy than early this season.
After a bad loss over in Western Australia against the Eagles in round 9 we bounced back to thump the Essendon Bombers by 69 points (almost 12 goals)
Then last Friday night we won by nearly 4 goals (23 points) against Port Adelaide in Adelaide which is hard to do on their turf.
Sydney won against the Gold Coast Suns easily last round by over 50 points then had a close win this round against an inaccurate North Melbourne by 16 points
This, and the next 2 rounds are split... this means all teams get a bye at some stage over 3 rounds.
We are just outside the the final 8 ... which is probably better than I thought we'd be.. The younger players are starting to show what they can do.
Round 12 for us is at home against Melbourne.
It will be Corey Enright's 300th AFL game. Been a fantastic defender for the Cats... Multiple Premiership player. Best & fairest for Geelong and All-Australian a few times.
Hope we can get a win.
