Re: What music are you listening to?
Foo Fighters playing a one off concert in Geelong tonight at the Geelong Football Stadium... No I'm not going ... tickets would've been snapped up so damn quick. The weather isn't playing the game either. Been a hot for a couple of days and a cool change with showers about to come through. Hopefully won't be too bad.
Then tomorrow night Midnight Oil are playing just out from Geelong at the Mount Duneed Estate. It's part of their final tour.
They are so good live. I saw them back in the 1980's .... These will be great for the local economy.

Hey Alby. Joe won't be coming my way or Tracy's way until the Fall Tour in November. Tickets range from about 50-200 dollars.
He won't get that close to me.
Take care,
Larry

Re: What music are you listening to?
Assume it'll be a llloooonnng time before we see him down here as it's only a handful of shows.
Price will probably jump. Â $150 upwards....
Won't be too stressed if I miss out.
Hope you guys are all up on your covid booster shots.
Had our 3rd in Jan and Flu jab late April (it's winter here - flu season) .

Re: What music are you listening to?
Hey guys... been a while. Joe B and Joanne Shaw Taylor headed to Chicago or Milwaukee in the fall... tix are quite expensive, but probably gonna pass. I had tix to see Joanne twice and both times they cancelled with no refunds. Grrr. Been super busy with work as of late and weddings galore this year. I got ordained and married my niece/goddaughter in June. My oldest daughter is getting married in October and we are prepping for that... Busy busy... But wanted to pop in and say hello.

Hey Tracy,
I got Joanne's new CD recently. Pretty cool. So you're ordained now, congratulations. Congratulations to all the recently married folks as well as the soon to be married folk. You take care and hello to you too.

Re: What music are you listening to?
G'day Tracy and Larry.
Great to See' you guys.
I've been meaning to drop in as well....
Wow! Congratulations on both counts Tracy.
I pinched' some leave next week to clean up around the house and garage. Next Saturday, having Stephs (eldest daughter) baby shower at our place. Seems to be the current fad' Mandy is pannicking as usual. Got the Geelong Cats playing at home tonight against the Bulldogs who have come into some form of late. Assume Steph still wants to go so we meet at the same parking spot and walk to Kardinia Park . Going to be damn cold but no rain . Geelong is sitting on top of the ladder, but that doesn't mean much come finals time.
Probably give JB a miss this time (if he gets here). That's rough not getting a refund.
Been listening to a few different artists of late...
The Teskey Brothers - Folk/Blues
Russell Morris - Did a trilogy of Aussie Blues albums: Sharkmouth, Van Diemans Land and Red Dirt -Red Heart
You'd know him from a few 60s/70s songs like the Real Thing etc
And into my Stoner, heavy rock bands like ELDER, Colour Haze, Wo Fat, Nebula,
Better get cracking.
Catch up soon

Re: What music are you listening to?
With a heavy heart I'm giving this news.
Firstly Judith Durham from the group The Seekers Passed away aged 79. She had lifelong health issues but a glorious voice.
The Seekers at one time were more popular than The Rolling Stones and The Beatles.
Olivia Newton John had been illl for a time up to her passing.
Both lovely lovely women.

Re: What music are you listening to?
Been a while since I checked in... JoAnne has another album coming... Mellow cool tune from it:
Daughters wedding went well. Still unwinding from it. Work still dragging me down as well. Got a ways to go and hoping I survive to retirement!
