Stratocaster
Here's a picture of the body of my new Fender Stratocaster. Been over 25+ years since I picked up a guitar... It's not like riding a bike, but loving getting familiar with it again.

Telecaster (partscaster)
My buddy here in the states got me a build your own T-Style (Telecaster) guitar kit from StewMac:
Here is how it began
And less than a month later, here is how it ended up:
I used a peacock blue/green alcohol based aniline dye to stain the wood on the body. Basically threw out all the pot metal/plastic stuff that came with the kit (bridge/tuners/controls) and used only the neck and body. Had to route out the pick-up cavities and control cavity to fit standard telecaster sized product in it. I also did not want string through the bridge sound so I drilled 6 holes through the body and installed ferrules to string it through the body from the back.
A lot of sanding, staining, and elbow grease went into this. I have never done this before... and my wife says I will never do it again (but I promise she is wrong!)
Pretty happy with how it turned out. Still a couple of setup related issued to address (filing down the nut) and getting the string action in a good place, but in general, it sounds great... was listening to a lot of JB while working on this... That is how this guitar got it's name!
